A relaxing sketching session in the beautiful grounds of Traquair House. We'll be drawing outside, focussing on foliage and flowers as we move through the Summer.
Drawing sessions in the garden start at 2:00 pm, meeting in front of Traquair House. This event is perfect for all skill levels, whether you're a seasoned artist or just starting out. A lovely opportunity to unwind and unleash your creativity in a stunning setting on a Sunday afternoon.

All materials & drawing boards will be provided.

Each session we'll be working a different medium and using a range of drawing implements to explore the fluid lines of growth of Yew trees. We'll be drawing outside, under the canopy of the Yew circle, absorbing the wisdom of the ancient trees.
Our workshop will begin with hot coffee in the studio at 10:00 am. In the intro, artist & plantswoman Jules Bradbury will introduce our subject for this workshop: Taxus baccata, then we'll venture out into the grounds to gather under the tree circle.
This event is perfect for all skill levels, whether you're a seasoned artist or just starting out. Come along to engage with these incredible trees and explore ways of drawing in this stunning setting!
